Ratatouille won for Animated Feature, but my heartfelt favorites are the stop motion folks who put together the animation short Peter & the Wolf, and director Suzie Templeton.

NPR Movie Music 2008: Oscar-Nominated Scores
Every year Weekend Edition Sunday (WE Sun) does a Best Original Score roundup and it is one of my favorite stories of the year. Film-music specialist Andy Trudeau really digs into the music and describes, in depth, the different styles, instrumentation, and other touches that composers use. It always draws me in and instills in me the desire to listen to music and not just hear it.

- I work for Northwest Public Radio as a Host/Producer. The slash really IS part of my title. I have been in radio broadcasting, in one form or another, for over 18 years. In January of 2006 I lost my job as a Computer Network Administrator (downsized) I sold my house, took the profits and traveled around the Pacific Rim for 7 months, decided that my life was not complete without doing radio full-time. I have loved Public Radio for many years and was fortunate enough to find a great job working for NWPR. I live with my wife and 2 little dogs in a small rental house on the Idaho Palouse and am loving life.
